It seems remarkable that, in 2026, the instructions for how organisations actually work - the purpose, protocols, processes - still live scattered across shared drives, Word documents, email threads and in the memories of long-serving staff.
Most organisations would say they've gone fully digital. And they have, for finance and for people. But digital and systematic are not the same thing. A PDF in a shared drive is just a piece of paper that's harder to find. A process stored in someone's inbox is still hidden.
